A Review of “The Pinterest Guide You Haven’t Seen Before”

If you have visited my blog before you know I am new to the whole blogging world. Trying to figure out how to set up a blog and bring traffic in can be super confusing.

If you’re like me your Pinterest Board on blogging is full of pins promising instant success. All you have to do is drop some cash and you will be let in on the secret to this whole blogging gig. It seems like everyone wants to sell you something. I personally don’t want to drop a lot of money until I know my blog is going to take off. So I’m picky about what I invest in.

Enter Miss Lyss and her new e-book “The Pinterest Guide You Haven’t Seen Before”

In her book “The Pinterest Guide You Haven’t Seen Before” Miss Lyss walks you through the process of using Pinterest. She goes step by step on how to set up an account with Pinterest. Her practical advice is easy to follow whether you are brand new to Pinterest or are just brand new to blogging.

*Disclosure: I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

The author writes with humor and is straight-forward about what has worked for her and what doesn’t work. She covers everything you need to know to be successful. From opening an account to great pins, how to pin and when, keywords, search engines, group boards, using Tailwind and understanding statistics.

I appreciate Miss Lyss’ honest approach to using Pinterest to grow your business. Just like she says in her book, we’ve all read the post that basically just suggests you get a viral pin. Easy peasy. Except it’s not. “The Pinterest Guide You Haven’t Seen Before” offers great practical, no-nonsense advice. This book is not filled with a ton of links to other products or “buy this one next” ploys.

I will be implementing Miss Lyss’ tips on setting up my own boards and for pinning regularly.  I was encouraged to keep working hard and to enjoy the process!

As a side note I would like to add how friendly Miss Lyss has been. She immediately accepted my request to join a group board. We began a dialogue and I felt like I made my first friend in the blog-o-sphere! She graciously allowed me to read her book knowing that I was new to all of this. When I had a question about a section of her book she went above and beyond to help me. She truly does want to help other bloggers. It’s refreshing and just plain nice!
