Quick tasks-10 minutes or less
There are many tasks around the house that need to be done on a daily or weekly basis. The idea of spending hours cleaning the house is a little daunting. I have found that most tasks don’t take that long to complete. Instead of spending a whole day cleaning I tell myself that if the job is going to take 10 minutes or less to tackle it right away. In this post I have created a list of 27 quick tasks that take 10 minutes or less.
I often don’t clean my bathroom all at once. On a given day I will decide to do one task each time I go in there. It is surprising how quickly the room gets cleaned that way. I don’t know why I put cleaning off as much as I do when this is an effective strategy.
Unless you live in a mansion the quick tasks listed below should take 10 minutes or less to complete (I have actually timed myself).

Kitchen
unload dishwasher
clean inside of microwave (if you put a cup of water in there for a minute the steam created makes wiping down the inside very easy)
switch hand towels
sweep
Bathroom
clean sink
wipe down mirror
clean toilet
wipe down door handles and light switches
restock toilet paper (your family will thank you)

Laundry Room
start a load of laundry
switch laundry over
fold one load of laundry
wipe down the tops of the washer and dryer
sweep floor
Bedroom
make bed
change sheets
fold pajamas
hang clothes that are at the end of the bed
put shoes away
Living/Family Room
fold blankets
straighten pillows
gather up kids stuff and put in their room for them to put away
gather up shoes and put them away
do a quick dust of shelves
Whole House
take out trash
wipe down a door
wipe down light switches and door knobs
