Summer Journal Prompts

If you have visited the blog before you know how I feel about Mom & Me journaling!  I think it is one of the best no-pressure ways to connect with your kids. However, if you are anything like me when you need a question or topic all ideas flee from your head! To prevent this from happening I like to have a list of journal prompts on hand. Here are my back and forth journal prompts for summer!

Journal Prompts for the beginning of Summer:

Where is one place you want to go this summer?

What is one thing you would like to do this summer?

Choose one thing you would like to make this summer?

What is the best way to celebrate summer?

How will you keep from being bored this summer?

Do you ever miss going to school during the summer break? What do you miss the most?

Is there a habit you want to work on this summer?

Just for Fun:

If you had to earn money fast how could you do that?

Find 3 recipes that you can learn to cook this summer.

Which famous person would you invite to a family BBQ?

Create a summer reading list. Add at least one biography.

What would you do if you were swimming and saw a shark in the water?

Design an amusement park. 

Would you rather be freezing cold or burning hot?

Name something you dislike about summer vacation.

Draw as many summer type things you can think of (sun, flower, ladybug, sailboat…)
